Reverend Robert H. Tanzie: b 1951 baptized same year at Second Presbyterian UPUSA, Steubenville, Ohio. Called to the pastoral ministry one year after his conversion in 1966. Graduated Geneva College w BA majors in Biblical Studies and European History. Minor in Philosophy. Graduated M.Div.Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia in 1978 with emphasis in apologetics.

For the past three decades, Bob has been a pastor or church planter in the Northeastern United States. He has had five exposures to mostly urban church planting and remained for the past nineteen years at New Covenant OPC, Boston, which began as a bible study in his home. NCPC developed into an Asian-American ministry with half the church drawn from a dozen local colleges and universities.

Joanne Lentz (b.1953) married Bob in 1976 after receiving a Biblical Studies major at Geneva College. She and Bob have two grown children, Kristen and Nathan who live in New York City and Boston respectively. Joanne received her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Lesley College, Cambridge, MA. and has taught special needs children for over twenty years.

The Tanzies have been called to long-term missions in Spain. They have been approved by Mission to the World having completed all prepatory training. Bob & Joanne are part of a new team under the leadership of Rev Charles DeWitt who with is wife and several other missionaries live in Madrid. The team is expected to be large with many adults and many children. Team Madrid will plant churches with Spanish nationals.

Bob is a member of Gulfstream Presbytery PCA and Joanne is a member of Seacrest PCA. Seacrest PCA is the sending congregation of the Tanzies as well as their home for itineration and future HMA leaves.

The Tanzies began their itineration January 1st, 2006 and conclued it in June 2008. They moved permanently to Spain for missionary service on July 1, 2008. 

Bob & Joanne will spend one year in Spanish immersion at the Mester Language School in Salamanca, Spain and then move permanently to Madrid for their church planting ministry.
